Officers Reports
Treasurer reports that income is running behind estimates due to only one of the five regular renters resuming occupancy of Community House. Since any prospective renters need clarity on whether and when the BCH is open for business, the BSCL Board will make a decision on this by the end of next week.
New Business
Seat covers for chairs in the Community House have been cleaned! Thanks to all who did this work.
There will not be a December meeting or a holiday party this year.

Columbia Pike Ground Floor Uses Study, Report by County Staff Ebony Dumas and Nick Rogers
An overview of the status and purpose of the subject study was given. It followed from the recommendations of the Columbia Pike Market Study (2019) . The details of the proposals arrived at in the subject study are in the Form Based Code Rules and Tables . The discussion included comments on how expensive commercial rents are, restricting potential small business interest; and traffic issues at Centro, mainly from tractor-trailers bringing groceries into the Harris Teeter there. Enforcement of code restrictions is complaint-based. The County says it wants to partner with neighborhoods to ensure there are no problems stemming from violations. There is considerable flexibility in the ordnance to allow the zoning authority to make determinations on whether a use is allowed.
